Future Teachers Club

 

This page is for the students and teachers involved in the Future Teachers Club.  I will post documents, announcements, and messages here.  This is the official site for all information and Future Teachers are responsible for checking it frequently for updates and changes, especially in the days before and after visits.

All future teachers will be assigned accounts that will allow you to post your comments in our online discussion.  Only club members will have access. 

 

 

  • ID Badges should be left at the desk when you sign out.  If you didn't return your badge after the visit, please bring it to the library right away.  It will be waiting for you when you sign in on the next visit.
  • Post-visit forms should be completed and turned in immediately by each student after every visit.  Sponsors should also complete an evaluation form for each student, but IT IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THAT BOTH FORMS ARE RETURNED.  If copies of the forms are not available on the desk when you sign in, they can be downloaded below or picked up from the Library at any time.
  • Mentoring sessions take five minutes or less for each student, but partners can be mentored together if desired.  During mentoring, I will give you back your post-visit summary form (you keep it in your folder for later), we will discuss any questions or concerns you or I have, and you will be able to sign up for the next visit.  No student will be approved to go on the next visit until after this mentoring session.
  • It would be wonderful if you could record photos of your visits and email them to me.  We will use them in the display case in the Atrium during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.  If you only have prints, I can take them too -- I will make color copies and return your originals.
  • Volunteers are needed for our Communications and Business Committees.  We need at least one sophomore, junior, and senior on each committee.  The Communications Committee will handle public relations and conveying important information to the rest of the group.  The Business Committee will coordinate fundraising activities.  See me as soon as possible if you are interested in being on one of the committees.
