Primary Documents in American History – The American Revolution and the New Nation 1763-1815. Images of people, events, and documents.
Library of Congress Prints & Photographs Online Catalog.
Search for American Revolution or specific images (Thomas Paine, George Washington, etc.). When search results appear, click on the Preview Images button.
Classroom Clipart.
Browse: History – United States – Colonial America.
Click on image to view. A new page opens with the full-sized image. If you see a small box with a red X, right click on it and select Show Picture. Then you can copy and paste the image or save it to a disk.
Colonial Williamsburg site.
Under Quick Links section, use the drop-down menu to Browse Multimedia and select Wallpaper. You will see several thumbnail images, with different image resolutions listed under each. Select the 1280 x 1024 and then copy and paste or save the image.
